Meet the Hosts

Yelena
I was born into a Serbo-Croatian family and fluently speak the language. My education in economics & accounting led me to many years in my own diverse businesses. However, supporting people with a disability was something that was present in my life from a young age. One of my parents struggled with a personalty disorder, whilst the other had issues with chronic depression/anxiety and later Alzheimer's. In 2020, I entered the field of disability support and found the work so rewarding that I completed a Certificate IV in Disability Support, with the intention of opening of our “Absolute R&R Respite”, focusing on providing high quality, boutique style support to NDIS participants.

Campbell
Making people happy has always been the focus of my life & work. A constant theme has been my involvement in people-centred industries, firstly as a highly qualified international chef, and later in designing and selling homes in the building industry.
But just like my wife, from an early age I also supported my profoundly deaf mother. Later in life I provided hands-on
palliative care to my mother who was at this stage struggling with profound deafness, reduced vision, Alzheimer's, and was bed bound from multiple strokes.
My goal is to give struggling families a break by supporting their loved one in our lovely home as a very pampered VIP guest. Please give me an excuse to go fishing or golfing!

Pugsy
Sadly, I started my life in a puppy farm as a “production mummy”. In early 2020 and at the age of eight, my first humans dumped me. I was found starving and sick by the RSPCA. Luckily, Yelena & Campbell came along and adopted me. They have loved me ever since and even fattened me up! I am now in charge of making our guests feel at home. I am very gentle with “human pups” as they seem to remind me of my own pups. At 13 years of age, I am now a “grandma dog” but I still love a daily walk. I’m always ready for a quiet cuddle, a sneaky snack and to lend a floppy ear to your kind words.
